Show a child how to make a triangle with their hands by putting their thumbs and fingers together. Then, encourage them to make other shapes with their hands and fingers. Can they make a square? A circle? Copy each other’s Hand Shapes.

As they play, the child learns how to control their own body, practices focus and attention, and has a fun game to do next time they’re waiting or bored.
