Laudy Burgos, LCSW

Associate Director and Social Work Manager, Department of Social Work, Mount Sinai Hospital

Laudy Burgos, LCSW is a Social Worker in the Women and Children’s Division at Mount Sinai Hospital. In this capacity, she provides case management and mental health services to pregnant women. Her specialty areas are teen pregnancy and postpartum depression. Ms. Burgos is also the coordinator for the Prenatal Partnership program, where she has primary responsibility for advising the medical student leaders as well as overseeing all referrals to the program. Ms. Burgos has presented at various national and international social work conferences and is the co-author of “The Inner City Asthma Intervention Asthma Counselor program: A Collaborative Model between Physician and Social Worker to Help Empower Families.” She also works as a consultant for several foster care agencies in New York City. Ms. Burgos is currently on faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Columbia University, School of Social Work and Fordham University, Graduate School of Social Services. She is a graduate of the New York University Silver School of Social Work.
