Choosing a Preschool

As many parents consider some form of Preschool for their toddlers, here are some tips to keep in mind about finding the “right” fit.

Goals of early education

  • New opportunities, experiences and social interactions
  • Practicing transitions and getting used to a classroom setting

What to look for

  • Child-safe classrooms
  • Lots of materials to play with and explore (arts and crafts supplies, blocks, instruments, dress up corner, etc)
  • Space for physical play (running, jumping, climbing)
  • Child size sinks, toilets and tables
  • A daily schedule of activities/routines
  • Happy children!!!
  • Helpful and hands-on teachers
